Part of the popular Brain Games series, the book is designed to help keep your brain cognitively fit, flexible, and young. The sudoku puzzles are sorted into five levels of difficulty. The book's introduction offers helpful tips and techniques for solving the puzzles, starting with the process of elimination. As you work through the sudoku puzzles, you will develop your own techniques for solving them. Answers to every sudoku are provided in the final section of the book. The sudoku puzzles in this book are 100 percent different than in the Brain Games Sudoku Collection #1.
Sudoku puzzles add a fresh challenge to your mental workout. Although they are number puzzles, they do not require math skills. The objective of these "crosswords without words" is to place the numbers 1 through 9 only once in each horizontal row of squares, each vertical column of squares, and each 3x3 square box in the 9x9 grid. The puzzles have some numbers filled in, and you work out the rest. You never have to guess; all the puzzles can be solved by logic. | | | Product Details: | | | Author:

Sudoku spiral bookAug 03, 2011
By P. B. ODonnell This Sudoku book, and the blue one from the same company are great!! The numbers are black and easy to read, the spiral binding makes is simple to fold back and use anywhere. I don't like sudoku books that use flimsy paper or newsprint type paper. This paper is a little thicker so you can't see through to the previous page when doing a puzzle. I've actually ordered this one more than once...for myself, and as a gift.

I am a Sudoku addict. Most publications have problems with either too small of type face or use faded gray type in their publications. Some hassles I've encountered are the booklets folding oddly (making it impossible not to need two hands to maintain the fold!) and some are truly difficult to use. However, THIS great book with over 300 puzzles is sturdily spiral bound, eliminating the folding problem, the type face is dark, the puzzles just the right size and placed well out to the margins, and the paper is smooth and easily erasable. The green and white paper is truly a pleasure to work with. How I wish this company would publish a monthly edition (maybe they do and I don't know about it yet!)
This is a must for avid Sudoku players! A great buy!
